Mattea Saayman is a composer, arranger and violinist looking for opportunities to collaborate with other musicians and creators. They’ve been playing violin for over thirty years and piano for over twenty, during which time they developed a passion across musical genres. As a composer, their musical interest stretches from sacred music, to classical, to folk and fiddle, and to improvisation. Since 2017 they have been playing with different ensembles in the Ottawa area. While in Guelph, they (2006-2010), they played with an ensemble focused on contemporary music and improvisation.

They currently live in Ottawa, located on the unceded land of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation.
